[Subject Line] You’re invited to a very special get-together on religious liberty!
Join me on [Month, date, year] to talk about America’s future
Hi [Invitee First Name],
I wanted to invite you to join me for a meeting about religious liberty at [location] on [Day, Month, Year]. I’m asking you to come because I know you care about religious freedom and the future of our nation as much as I do. I’ll be showing a presentation and handing out information from legal rights group First Liberty Institute that will help us all stay more informed. There will also be refreshments and great discussion.
Religious liberty is our first freedom named in the Constitution. Unfortunately, there are people and groups challenging our religious liberty, whether in schools, work, businesses, the military, or public arena. You may have seen the news stories. Join us for an update on what’s happening in
the courts and learn about the promising game plan to restore our freedoms, now and for future generations.
I’ve been encouraged by the work of First Liberty, the largest legal organization in the nation dedicated exclusively to defending religious liberty for all Americans. When an individual or organization’s freedom to live out their faith is attacked, First Liberty attorneys defend them in court for free. They also empower people like you and me to make sure those attacks don’t
happen in our community. And they win. So I hope you will join us and be encouraged that there
is a winning team…and a winning formula.
Could you please RSVP by [date]? More details are below. I really hope you can make it!

The Honorable (Senator Name)
1234 Senate Office Building
Dear Senator (Senator Name),
I’m writing to you today on a matter that is important to me as your constituent but also important for the nation. As you know, voters elected President Trump to appoint principled jurists to the Supreme Court and the federal courts of appeal and district courts.
I am pleased with the fair and timely confirmation of Justice Gorsuch and would like to see more judges confirmed in a similar manner. At the beginning of his presidency, Donald Trump faced more vacancies for federal judgeships than Presidents Obama, George W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan. Due to more retirements and unnecessary delays in the Senate, there are now more judicial vacancies than the day President Trump was inaugurated.
There are two simple ways to reform the judicial confirmation process and restore the constitutionally mandated role of the Senate. First, if you haven’t done so already please return any and all “blue slips” you may have on qualified nominees. Second, the 30-hour debate rule should be repealed or replaced with a more reasonable limit on debate before a vote. I support Senator Lankford’s proposal for revising the 30-hour debate rule.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Each day these judicial vacancies aren’t filled the backlog of cases grows. Justice delayed is justice denied.
