We recently secured an important “first-round” win for our client, WallBuilders, a Texas non-profit that educates people about the role that Christianity played in the creation of our nation and the drafting of the U.S. Constitution.

In May, a federal district court ordered the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to accept and run two religious-themed advertisements that had been unconstitutionally rejected.

This was a great win for free speech. The court issued a preliminary injunction for our client and held that WMATA’s actions were blatantly in violation of First Amendment.

Today, we’re excited to announce that WallBuilders’ ads are now running across metro stations in our nation’s capital!

One ad that WallBuilders created shows George Washington with the question “Christian?” written across the front. A similar ad depicts a well-known painting of the signing the U.S. Constitution posing the same question. The original painting hangs in the U.S. Capitol.

Even with our recent victory, the court’s opinion leaves some very important First Amendment questions unanswered. That means we still have work to do to make sure that WallBuilders gets a complete win in court.

We won’t stand down from this fight until we see this victory to the finish line.

But we need your help to make sure that our First Freedom is being protected in our nation’s capital.

Will you join us in the fight for free speech in D.C. so that religious liberty can be fully protected for all Americans?
