Donor Data Analyst/Specialist
The Donor Data Analyst/Specialist works closely with the Director of Database Administration to ensure the success of the organization’s intelligence tracking of the supporters critical to the success of the organization. This person will test and deploy custom reports, database smart queries, data exports and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Dashboards within the Donor Data Management application. The Analyst will also troubleshoot data management application issues and uphold donor data quality standards, among other key roles.

First Liberty Internship Programs
Whether you’re an aspiring lawyer or dynamic marketing communications professional, First Liberty’s internships offer real-world experience and the opportunity to impact the mission of protecting our First Amendment religious liberty rights. We are currently accepting applications for internship positions within our legal and marketing/communications groups, based in our Plano, Texas (Dallas area) office.
Legal Internship Program
First Liberty Institute is seeking capable and self-motivated law students. Criteria for selection are based upon demonstrated commitment to our mission of defending religious liberty for all, motivation to engage popular legal culture, leadership potential in a legal context, evidence of oral and written communication skills, and academic achievement.
We have a strong preference for Top 10-15% students at Top-25 law schools but will consider non Top-25 law school applicants with outstanding qualifications on a case-by-case basis. Interns must possess superior legal research and writing skills. Law review experience is preferred. Interns should be tech-savvy, and socially adept at working with non-attorney legal and support staff. Connections to Texas are a plus, but not necessary.
The internship will last approximately 3 months, depending on the prospective intern’s academic schedule. During this time, interns will be expected to engage in a variety of First Liberty Institute legal matters. This may include, but is not limited to, legal research, drafting legal memoranda, moot courts, and assisting First Liberty Institute attorneys on cases. In short, as members of our legal team, First Liberty Institute interns are expected to contribute to our mission in a significant way.
Judicial Fellowship Program
First Liberty Institute’s one-year Judicial Fellowship is designed for attorneys who have completed federal judicial clerkships and are looking for experience in First Amendment advocacy. First Liberty Institute’s mission is to defend and restore religious liberty for all Americans – in our schools, for our churches, inside the military, and throughout the public arena.
Judicial Fellows will be invited to assist First Liberty Institute attorneys on active cases, conduct legal research, draft briefs, and contribute to public policy through academic scholarship. Candidates must have federal clerkship experience, excellent legal research and writing abilities, and a passion for defending religious liberty for all.
Marketing and Communications Internship Program
First Liberty is looking for qualified interns to join our marketing team for assignments during the summers and breaks, as well as the potential for ongoing assignments, in these areas of specialization.
- Writing for a variety of online and offline channels
- Creative Services, including graphic design, video/multimedia, and web
- Social Media across a broad variety of platforms
- Marketing Communications, including marketing planning, project management, research, and special project assignments
- Public Relations, including media relations, journalistic writing, and special projects
Qualified interns will have excelled at related college coursework and applied their skills through paid or unpaid positions and other leadership roles. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment. By the end of the internship, interns will have broad exposure to in various aspects of marketing and communications for advancing the cause of religious liberty with donors, attorneys, and the public.
