Our history spans nearly 30 years and thousands of legal matters. In 2009, we became Liberty Institute and expanded litigation services to all 50 states. For the next seven years, Liberty Institute won significant religious freedom victories in courtrooms all over the country- and those cases continue to be cited as Liberty Institute’s cases today. To reinforce our commitment to defending all American’s first freedom- religious liberty- Liberty Institute became known as First Liberty Institute. Though the name expanded, the mission remained the same. The victories and legal work achieved as Liberty Institute continue to impact First Liberty Institute’s nationwide efforts to protect and defend the freedom that defines America.
