Arkansas Governor Signs Ten Commandments Bill
Bill recognizes historic role of Ten Commandments in development of state law
Little Rock, AR—Today, Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders signed SB 433, which requires the posting of the national motto and Ten Commandments in schools. The following statement may be attributed to Matt Krause, Of Counsel for First Liberty Institute:
Placing this historic document and national motto on schoolhouse walls is a great way to remind students of the foundations of American and Arkansas law. First Liberty was grateful to play a part in helping this bill reach the Governor’s desk. We applaud Arkansas for joining a growing list of states that have taken this bold step for religious liberty.
