First Liberty Praises Governor DeSantis for Appointment of Christine Pratt to Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal
Pratt served as Counsel at First Liberty, specializing in health care and education.
Tallahassee, FL—First Liberty Institute today congratulates former counsel Christine Pratt on her appointment by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal.

Prior to joining First Liberty, where she served as counsel concentrating on religious liberty matters in the education and health care fields, Christine clerked for a Federal Magistrate Judge on the Eastern District of North Carolina. After her clerkship, she worked at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of the General Counsel and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the Office for Civil Rights in Washington, DC. In Summer 2023, Christine left First Liberty to clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Since her clerkship, she has served in the Florida Office of the Attorney General, most recently as Deputy Solicitor General.
Christine, a native of Florida, attended both undergraduate and law school at the University of Florida. For her undergraduate studies, Christine graduated summa cum laude, majoring in Economics and minoring in Religion.
