Judge Issues Final Order Granting Football Coach’s Return to Field
Earlier this year Supreme Court ruled in favor of Coach Joe Kennedy kneeling at midfield in quiet prayer after games

Bremerton, WA—Late yesterday, United States District Judge Robert Lasnik issued his final order in Kennedy v. Bremerton, declaring that Coach Joe Kennedy will be free to kneel at midfield in a brief, quiet, private prayer after games.  The Supreme Court of the United States ruled in favor of Coach Kennedy in June.

You can read the order here.

In response to the order, Kelly Shackelford, President, CEO, and Chief Counsel for First Liberty Institute said, “All Coach Kennedy ever wanted was to be able to get back on the field with his guys and to say a quiet, personal prayer at the 50-yard-line after each game.  We look forward to Coach exercising his freedom once again next season.”
