Gifts Made by Will

There is an inevitability to life, and planning for future gifts to your loved ones and the charities that mean so much to you is an essential ingredient of a thoughtful estate plan.

Bequests through a will

A gift made by naming First Liberty as a beneficiary of your estate via your will is an easy way to secure a legacy and help protect religious freedom for future generations. The language used in your will can determine the timing of a gift or even how the funds will be specifically used by First Liberty. For example, you can designate funds for the protection of religious liberty in the military, in schools, in churches and other religious organizations, or in the public arena. To name us in your will, you can use:

First Liberty Institute
2001 West Plano Parkway Suite 1600
Plano, Texas 75075

Beneficiary designations for retirement plans and insurance

Beneficiary Designations

One of the easiest ways to make a gift to First Liberty is by naming First Liberty as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k) Plan, profit sharing plan, or 403(b) Plan. First Liberty will receive the funds tax-free. Please see your IRA Custodian or Plan Administrator to obtain a beneficiary designation form.

There are three ways to give life insurance proceeds to First Liberty by:

  • Naming First Liberty as the beneficiary of a policy.
  • Making a gift of an existing policy to First Liberty.
  • Purchasing a new policy and gifting it to First Liberty.

There are potential charitable deductions and premium payment considerations surrounding these transactions, and you should consult a financial planner for those.

Our legal name is:
First Liberty Institute
2001 West Plano Parkway Suite 1600
Plano, Texas 75075
Employer Identification Number (EIN): 75-1403169
