What comes to mind when you hear the name “First Liberty Institute?”
Like you, many Americans immediately think of our top-class legal team winning cases before the highest courts in the land. Or maybe they picture our President and CEO, Kelly Shackelford, on national news giving expert legal analysis on the religious liberty issues of the day.
After all, our “bread and butter” is winning cases and setting generational precedents for religious liberty. Not to mention, our attorneys continually offer exceptional input to national leaders on some of the most critical constitutional issues of our time.
But the truth is that our work extends beyond the courtroom.
Recently, First Liberty staff had the pleasure of volunteering with our client, Feed My Starving Children, an organization that turns hunger into hope by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world. Our team packed 74 boxes with 15,984 meals, which through the amazing work of FMSC will feed 44 children in need for an entire year!

Our client, U.S. Air Force veteran Charles “Chuck” Roberson and his family recently suffered a devastating loss to their homes and property in Redding, CA. His longtime family home – in which he grew up and his mother lived – was burned to ashes due to the wildfires spreading throughout the northern part of the state.
And as Chuck fights to help his family recover, First Liberty is helping to raise awareness of Chuck’s situation by getting the word out during these hard times.
