On Wednesday, Dec. 3, First Liberty will be at the U.S. Supreme Court arguing on behalf of Mississippi evangelist, Gabe Olivier.
The stakes are incredibly high in this case, implicating the most cherished rights we have as Americans.
It affects religious liberty and the right of every person to talk about their religious beliefs with other people in public, whether it’s in a park or on a sidewalk. America was established to ensure everyone could freely practice and express their faith without fear of punishment.
This case is also about the right of every person to have access to our court system for constitutional violations. If your civil liberties are taken from you—including your religious freedom—you should be able to plead your case in court. It’s a critical corollary to our most basic rights. Our constitutional freedoms mean little if our constitutional claims fall on deaf ears.
Gabe’s case could overturn decades of bad precedent in the lower courts. A clarifying opinion from the Supreme Court will bolster the rights and religious freedom of millions—ensuring every American has strong legal protections to share their faith and beliefs in the public square.
Please Pray: This Case is a Historic Opportunity for our Religious Freedom
Each year, the Court sifts through thousands of requests for hearing, but only accept a small fraction of them. We are blessed to be in that number. Getting to argue at the Supreme Court is a rare opportunity—something very few law firms and attorneys get to do.
With the argument just days away, Gabe and First Liberty need your continued support. Please pray for:
As we near this significant court date, we want to thank you for standing with Gabe and First Liberty. It’s been a long, winding journey to the Supreme Court.
Winning this case will advance the civil rights of millions of Americans. Your prayers, encouragement and support have been critical in this ongoing battle. We would not be here without you. Now, let’s go win this one for Gabe and religious freedom.
