The Supreme Court has long recognized parents’ constitutional right to direct the education and upbringing of their children.

This includes the ability to ensure your children’s education aligns with your family’s sincerely held religious beliefs and moral convictions.

That’s why we’re respectfully requesting that public schools follow these guidelines:

1. Provide advanced notification to parents about curriculum content that may conflict with religious or moral beliefs
2. Establish a clear, accessible process for parents to review educational materials
3. Create reasonable accommodation policies that allow students to opt out of specific programs or activities that conflict with their family’s religious beliefs
4. Ensure alternative educational activities are provided for students who opt out of certain programs

By working to implement these measures, we can help schools create an inclusive environment that respects both the sincerely held religious beliefs of its students and the school’s educational mission.

But to move forward, we need parents and grandparents of faith like you to help make it clear to the public schools that we will no longer take a backseat in our children’s education.
