Calls for Radical Court-Packing Return As Midterm Elections Loom
Just when you thought the push for radical court “reform” had gone away, the Far Left is once again insisting on expanding the U.S. Supreme Court. Ahead of the November midterm elections, they’re laying the groundwork to bring back the Supreme Court Coup should they regain political power.
In response to the Supreme Court’s recent decision on redistricting, former presidential candidate Kamala Harris called for “Supreme Court reform, including the notion of expanding the court” during a call with the Left-leaning nonprofit, Emerge.
Political strategist James Carville said, “If the Democrats win the presidency and both houses of Congress, I think on Day One…they should expand the Supreme Court to 13.”
As First Liberty has explained, court-packing and other extreme proposals would destroy judicial independence and the rule of law. They’re a threat to your civil liberties.
Anti-Semitism Cost This HOA Nearly $1 Million
Huge victory for Rabbi Naftaly Hertzel and his wife Henya in Boca Raton, Florida!
This week, we reached a settlement that will require the Logger’s Run Homeowner’s Association to remove discriminatory language from its governing documents and allow Rabbi Hertzel to use the community newsletter to advertise events at their synagogue. The HOA is also required to pay $850,000 to the Hertzels.
Since 2015, the Hertzels and the Chabad community, who reside in the HOA area, have been denied the same freedom allowed for other residents and groups within the community and have been the victims of discrimination and constant harassment.
“This settlement sends a clear message that if you structure your HOA to provide cover for anti-Semitism, you will pay the price,” said First Liberty attorney Jeremy Dys. “Religious freedom is for all Americans, even in their HOAs. We are thrilled for our clients, who simply want to practice their faith freely and without fear.”
This Ministry Is Saving Lives and Giving Men a Second Chance
by Ryan Gardner, Senior Counsel
Total Recovery’s divinely inspired mission is to help men overcome life-controlling problems and give them the assistance they need to lead productive lives, by providing shelter, assistance and training to men at no cost to the taxpayer.
Like many small towns in rural America, Rainsville sits at the intersection of quiet community life and a largely unseen public health crisis: substance abuse.
What makes the town especially vulnerable is the lack of resources to combat them. Access to rehabilitation services, mental health care, and long-term recovery support is significantly more limited than in nearby cities. Healthcare systems, schools, and law enforcement ultimately feel the downstream side effects. In this way, substance abuse is not just an individual problem—it is a community-wide issue that affects nearly every aspect of life.
It’s puzzling why the city of Rainsville is so hostile to a ministry that helps men become more valuable members of society and restores hope in communities.

The Roberts Court and Religious Liberty
by Adam Feldman, J.D., Ph.D.
The U.S. Supreme Court under Chief Justice John Roberts has produced a large and varied body of First Amendment law, but one part of that jurisprudence stands out for its stability: religion.
Across nearly two decades, religious-liberty claimants have prevailed at a remarkably high rate, and in recent years that pattern has become even more pronounced. The Court has moved from favoring religious claimants in most cases to doing so in nearly all of them.
