We recently had the privilege of speaking with John Yoo, a professor at the University of California Berkeley School of Law and a former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Yoo also served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice during the George W. Bush administration.
In our interview, we asked him about the founding of the judicial system and his view of the current state of the Court. He also gave us his insight into major rulings by Court which are changing the legal landscape and returning us to a more commonsense and historically accurate reading of the Constitution, especially for religious freedom.
