The Supreme Court is under attack. Stay up to date on everything that’s happening with radical court “reform” and efforts to undermine our judicial system.

Poll: Supreme Court Approval is Trending Upward

In an attempt to take control of the U.S. Supreme Court by any means, the far Left and politicians are pushing for radical “reforms,” because the Court has —allegedly—”lost credibility” in the eyes of the American people.

But that’s just not true. According to a Marquette Law School poll, approval of the Supreme Court is “edging upward.” 45% of American adults approve of the justices’ work. That’s a slight increase from 43% when the same poll was conducted in July.  A separate survey from Gallup found a slightly higher 48% of the public trusts the judicial branch a “great deal/fair amount.”

Contrary to what the far Left says, Americans support the Supreme Court and view our judicial system favorably. Although numbers for all branches have faltered in recent years, the judiciary consistently ranks as the most trusted branch of the federal government.

These numbers are consistent with a recent Mason-Dixon poll commissioned by First Liberty, which found that 87% of Americans believe that an independent judiciary is a crucial safeguard of our civil liberties.

What’s more, Americans largely reject recent attempts to delegitimize and politicize the Court. The same Mason-Dixon poll shows that Americans oppose expanding the size of the Court and other far-reaching changes to the judiciary, as well Congressional attempts to impose and  ethics code for Supreme Court Justices.

  • 52% oppose amending the U.S. Constitution to alter the Supreme Court’s structure
  • 59% oppose expanding the size of the Supreme Court
  • 76% say expanding the court is primarily motivated by political objectives
  • 64% believe packing the Supreme Court threatens civil liberties
  • 60% believe giving Congress the power to enforce a “code of ethics” would violate the separation of powers
  • 57% say a Congressionally imposed “ethics code” threatens judicial independence.

Americans, do not be deceived by the Supreme Court Coup. Attacks and smear campaigns against the Court are all about undermining the authority of justices and the authority of their rulings. Court “reform” is nothing more than a brazen power grab.
