Our Navy SEAL clients graciously presented First Liberty with a special award. They honored us with a unique and customized boat paddle as a thank you for representing them throughout their legal battle.
The boat paddle award carries a rich tradition for Navy SEALs. Awarding a paddle is a symbol of camaraderie, trust and unity. The tradition of giving paddles as recognition dates back to the early days of the Navy SEALs, when they operated in small teams, relying on each other for survival in the harshest conditions.
The plaque on the wooden oar bears this inspiring message of gratitude:
IN RECOGNITION OF FIRST LIBERTY INSTITUTE.
When no one else would represent us, you did.
When others asked us to give more, you sacrificed for us.
When our nation’s finest were in need, you answered the call.
We are forever grateful.
These brave warriors make tremendous sacrifices for our country through their service. They’ve shared with us the toll that this case took on them and their families. At the beginning they were being asked to sacrifice even more than they already do. Before reaching out to First Liberty, some of them even considered selling their houses in order to afford the cost of hiring a lawyer to work on their case.
When the Navy SEALs contacted First Liberty for legal help, we didn’t hesitate to represent these courageous heroes. And of course, we did it for free and have never charged them a single dime…as we do with all our clients.
It’s been a true honor to represent and defend the Navy SEALs for the past three years. We’re beyond grateful and humbled that America’s best warriors would bestow this award to our organization.
