Huge announcement!

There’s a movie coming out this fall about former First Liberty client Coach Joe Kennedy. From the director and producers of God’s Not Dead and the producers of The Blind comes Average Joe, in theaters beginning October 10th.

We’re excited to give you first access to the official teaser trailer. Watch below:

The movie recounts Coach Joe’s story, beginning with his childhood in foster care followed by his 20 years of military service in the Marine Corps. The film focuses on his biggest battle: his commitment to stand for God publicly by taking a knee in prayer after each game. When he was fired for living out his faith, Joe and his wife Denise knew this battle for religious freedom and the rights of all Americans was one they would have to fight.

After years of fighting in court, First Liberty secured a historic victory for Coach Kennedy at the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022. That ruling set a precedent that completely changed the landscape of religious freedom law in our country. Thanks to Coach Kennedy’s courage and perseverance throughout his case, Americans now have more religious freedom than they’ve had in 50 years.
