The radical Left desperately wants to turn the U.S. Supreme Court into a rubber-stamp for its political agenda. And they’re ready to pour in hundreds of thousands—even millions—of dollars to make it happen.
Stand Up America, a “progressive activist group,” just launched a six-figure campaign calling for Supreme Court term limits. In addition to digital advertising, their effort features a mobile billboard depicting Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas alongside the message “Past Their Shelf Life – Supreme Court Term Limits Now,” The Hill reports.
Yesterday, on the 18th anniversary of Samuel Alito’s confirmation to the Supreme Court, we launched a campaign making it clear:

It’s no coincidence they launched this campaign on the 18th anniversary of Justice Alito’s confirmation.
After all, there’s a bill in Congress right now that would impose 18-year terms on the nine justices and give the President the power to appoint a new justice every two years. Under that proposal, the longest serving members of the court, Justice Thomas and Chief Justice John Roberts would be first to go.
Justice Alito would be ousted as well, now that he’s reached his 18th year on the bench.
Be warned. Between now and the November election, the Left is going to keep planting the seeds. Don’t be surprised to see more and more of these campaigns surface. Judicial activists are willing to spend a lot of money to deceive Americans about the “need” to change the Supreme Court.
The 2024 Election could have a major impact on the rule of law. Because if things go their way at the ballot box, the Left and many politicians are ready to bring back all sorts of radical proposals to “restructure” the nation’s highest court. The very future of the Supreme Court is at stake.
Remember, Supreme Court term limits is just one extreme idea they’re floating around. As many on the Left said in their own words, “everything is on the table.” The Supreme Court Coup scheme includes multiple radical and constitutionally suspect “reforms,” such as:
First Liberty and many other constitutional and legal experts explain that these reforms have nothing to do with improving our judicial system. They’re all about raw power.
Don’t be fooled. This isn’t about “saving democracy” as many of these groups often claim. This is about some politicians—along with many of the country’s most radical groups—trying to get around decisions they don’t like. All of their proposals boil down to the Left trying everything possible to take control of the Supreme Court, even if it means destroying some essential pillars in our system of government.
If the politically motivated Supreme Court Coup succeeds, the judiciary will become little more than a tool of whomever holds power. Judges will lose their ability to enforce the rule of law with impartiality, and the last safeguard to our civil liberties—including religious freedom—will be gone.
Court packing, judicial term limits or any of these far-fetched ideas are NOT going to save our Republic. They’d be the gateway to tyranny. They would only end up destroying our country.
