You stood with us on February 27th in defense of the Bladensburg WWI Veterans Memorial at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Today, we can celebrate a landmark victory, because together we’ve made history.
In a 7-2 decision, the Justices of the Supreme Court agreed with our argument, affirming that the Bladensburg WWI Veterans Memorial is not coming down.
This is a historic victory and a landmark decision for religious freedom in America. The days of activist courts illegitimately weaponizing the First Amendment to attack religious symbols on public land are over. The ruling sets a precedent for other similar memorials across the country, including those in Arlington National Cemetery, protecting them from destruction and desecration.
The Supreme Court’s message is clear: the attempted perversion of our Constitution is now over, and government is no longer hostile to Americans who express and live out their faith.
Thanks to today’s ruling, you and every American has more freedom than you’ve had in decades.
And this victory at the Supreme Court is just the beginning of a new era for religious liberty in America.
This triumph is going to open new doors for us to fight for our first freedom, and will pave the way for new cases, new clients and more victories.
Each day brings a new challenge for our first freedom, which means we will have to continue litigating at the Supreme Court to fight for our constitutional right to live out our faith.
