They discussed the importance of religious freedom in America and how recent Supreme Court cases have restored religious liberty to a level not seen in more than 50 years. When an Invitation is ‘Indoctrination’

Attorney Jeremy Dys wrote an op-ed for WORLD discussing our recent victory for Hulen Street Church in Fort Worth, Texas.

Streaming platform Hulu rejected an ad promoting the church’s Thursday night service. Our attorneys sent a demand letter urging the platform to clarify its policy toward religious advertising. In less than 36 hours, Hulu reversed course and approved the ad.

Dys writes:

“It should not take the sending of a demand letter to Hulu for a church’s ad to run on its platform. Thankfully, Hulu has reversed course this time. Still, this experience illustrates the problem facing Big Tech and frustrating Main Street USA. Without a clear standard, potential advertisers can easily claim censorship when, as with Hulu, new policies are suddenly announced. It gives room for unfettered discretion by corporate officials often resulting in absurd results—like labeling an ad for a church service as ‘religious indoctrination.’”
