U.S. Supreme Court Refuses to Consider Lower Court Decision in West Virginia Bible Curriculum Case
First Liberty Institute represents local school district in battle over Bible curriculum

Washington, DC—The following statement from First Liberty Institute in response to the decision by the Supreme Court of the United States to not review an appeal in Mercer County Board of Education, et al., v. Elizabeth Deal, et al. is attributable to Jeremy Dys, Special Counsel for Litigation and Communications for First Liberty Institute:

“While the Court’s action did not address, in any way, the merits of the case, we are disappointed by its decision to not review the case.  The curriculum at the center of this case as it once existed is never coming back.  The Mercer County School District remains committed to following the law as it provides diverse educational opportunities to its students.”
