Our client Judge Dianne Hensley got a great victory!
The Texas Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Judge Dianne Hensley, who received a reprimand from the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for not performing weddings inconsistent with her religious beliefs.
To ensure all residents of McLennan County have access to low-cost wedding ceremonies, Judge Hensley went out of her way to accommodate everyone seeking an officiant, regardless of sexual orientation.
She invested extensive time and resources at her own expense to compile a referral list of alternative, local wedding officiants including one within walking distance of her office.
