Supreme Court To Hear Arguments in Key Religious Liberty Case Involving Religious Child Placement Agencies
Washington, DC—The Supreme Court of the United States today agreed to review Philadephia v. Fulton, a case in which the US Supreme Court will decide whether religious organizations can be disqualified from serving children and families. The following statement may be attributed to Keisha Russell, Counsel to First Liberty Institute:
“There’s no reason to single out and punish adoption providers who are motivated by their sincerely held religious beliefs that the best home for a child includes a mother and father. When the government decides whose faith is or is not acceptable, we all lose.”
